La Lobos Silver Project Mining Claims
The La Lobos Silver Project is 100% owned by First Majestic Silver Corp. as the project was acquired in 2012 as a result of the acquisition of Silvermex Resources. The property consists of 2,830 hectares. First Majestic is assessing the early stage Lobos project to determine if the property fits within the Company's portfolio.


Location

The La Lobos project lies along the Sea of Cortez and is approximately 90 km from Puerto Peñasco, the largest major centre in the region.


Local Geology

In the northern and southern portion of the Lobos property, the geology consists of a granodiorite basement intruded by an intrusive of granitic composition. Rhyolite dikes and tectonic breccias are hosted in zones of weakness in the granite. The regional north-west to south-east trend is exposed for 350 metres before plunging below the volcanic sequence.
