Overview

The Jiménez del Teul Property is 100% owned by First Majestic Silver Corp. The property consists of mining concessions that cover 14,504 hectares and is located in western Zacatecas State, Mexico.

Location

The mineralized area is situated in western Zacatecas State, near the Durango State boundary, approximately 142 km N70°W of the city of Zacatecas. The area is located at an elevation of approximately 2,050 metres above sea level and forms part of the Sierra Madre Occidental physiographic province.

Local Geology

In general, the regional geological framework is very similar to that of the San Martín, La Parrilla, and Chalchihuites mining districts. It is characterized by calcareous and calcareous-clastic sedimentary rocks that have been affected by the emplacement of intrusive igneous rocks ranging in composition from granodiorite to monzonite. These basement rocks outcrop as windows within a geological setting dominated by andesitic to rhyolitic volcanic rocks.

Regional Proximity to Deposits

Jiménez del Teul is located within the San Luis Tepehuans Fault System, where several mineral deposits are located, notably La Colorada (~22km N), Calchihuites Project (~25km N) and the San Martin District (~47km N).
